Disk batches are used to organize disks into groups, depending on what the disks are being used for, type of disk, or the desired operation to be performed on them. The user has complete freedom to use disk batches however is most convenient for their particular use case. Disks can be added or removed from a particular batch at any time.

Once disks are batched together, they may be treated as a group and similar settings may be set for this batch. Likewise, operations may be performed on these batches — initiating the operation on a batch will perform the operation on all the disks belonging to the batch.
