New functionality: Touch Mode & Kiosk Mode
In new version compact operating modes added to simplify routing tasks. In these modes
user have an access only to the features being used most frequently. Access to commands is
through floating menu at bottom left corner of application's main window.
There are two compact modes available:
- Touch Mode - designed to support portable touch-screen
monitors.
- Kiosk Mode - works similar to previous one but also supports
mouse and designed to support commercial grade monitors and attempting to show as many
disk bays as possible at once, simplifying visual control and ongoing processes for
operator. This mode still supports mouse and giving access to most advanced features. In
Kiosk Mode user still have an access to run predefined disk batches, to open Erase
History view and use other tools.
Disk Layout Editing
Disk Bay Layout Editor view is deprecated in this version — disk bay
layout editing could be done in Disk Explorer view when switching to Layout Edit
Mode.
There two types of Disk Bay Layout now:
- Free Grid Layout allows user to place Disk Bay widget at any
position, change bay widget size and its alignment (vertically or horizontally)
individually for each bay. Thus, user can create relatively accurate mocking layout of
actual (physical) disk bay slots located on hardware chassis
- Table Layout similar to disk bay layout from previous
versions, however now user can resize or select disk bay widgets by using row and column
headers

giving better look-n-fell, more stable behavior, better performance. In addition, user

an ability to print them out, as well as label printing is available either for batches or individually
processed disks.
